Objective To investigate the current situation of application on WeChat public platform by community health services centers to publish information and educate health in Shanghai,and propose the countermeasures to strengthen the centers'publicity.
Methods The openness,use and fans'engagement of WeChat public platform of 245 community health services centers in Shanghai were investigated by utilizing the function of searching on WeChat APP and Sogou Search Engine.Data of the investigation Results were processed by SPSS 18.0,and a
P value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant.In addition,one of the relative successful WeChat public platform of the community health services center have been studied and its main characteristic of operation was analyzed,the line graph was used to show the relationship between the update and reading quantity of the platform on average.
Results Only 57(23.3%) community health services centers in the city had their own WeChat public platform,in which the rate of central city area and rural area were relatively 32.8%(39/119) and 23.3%(18/126).And the publications and attention were not unsatisfactory,of which urban area was significantly better than suburbs'(
P<0.01);the current problems of operating the WeChat public platform included the deficiency of the interactive functions,update not timely,little attention,unreasonable content,and so on.Besides,High-frequency update and long-term operating time,were the precondition to operate a public platform successfully.
Conclusion Basic medical institutions including the community health services centers are at the start in information publishing and health education by using social media platforms at present.Therefore,they ought to promote their attention to it,learn from and draw upon the operation experience of excellent platforms,and seek the third party service for assistance actively as well.
