    Abstract
  •   Objective  To analyze the current situation of recurrence fear in younger aged patients with advanced lung cancer, and to analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide theoretical basis for improving the overall quality of life of patients.  Methods  A total of 120 younger aged patients with advanced lung cancer admitted to Handan Central Hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected by random sampling method to investigate their recurrence fear. The relevant factors affecting patients ' fear of recurrence were analyzed. Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between recurrence fear and hospice care demand. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors for patients ' recurrence fear.  Results  The scores of the fear of cancer recurrence inventory-Chinese version (FCRI-CV) for younger aged patients with advanced lung cancer ranged from 79 to 131 (97.72±13.49) points. The scores of FCRI-CV were higher in patients with junior high school or below and poor family support than in those with senior high school or above and good family support (P < 0.05). The total scores of the hospice needs assessment scale ranged from 69 to 122 (92.37±8.89) points. Pearson correlation analysis showed that the score and total score of each dimension of FCRI-CV were positively correlated with the total score of hospice needs assessment scale (P < 0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that education level, family support and hospice care demand were all influencing factors for recurrence fear in younger aged patients with advanced lung cancer (P < 0.05).  Conclusion  The fear of cancer recurrence in younger aged patients with advanced lung cancer is at a high level, and the education level, family support and the need for hospice care are all influential factors for the fear of recurrence.
