Abstract:
Objective To investigate the abnormal situation and affecting factors of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in the elderly population in urban-rural integration areas, and to provide basis the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Methods In this cross sectional study,we analyzed 5 097 senior permanent residents over 60 years of age between March,2016 and May,2016,collected relevant physical data, estimated GFR using the CKD-EPI Creatinine Equation (2009),CKD was defined as an eGFR <60 ml/(min·1.73 m
2).The population prevalence and the related risk factors for CKD were analyzed by SPSS 18.0.
Results The average eGFR was (77.44±19.16) ml/(min·1.73 m
2) in the patients over 60 years of age.In the same age group,eGFR
CKD-EPI level in the male was lower than that of the female, and there was statistical difference (
P<0.01).888 were with CKD,and the prevalence rate was 17.42%,and the mean value of eGFR was (49.40±9.92) ml/(min·1.73 m
2).Taking 10 years as the interval,with the age increased,eGFR
CKD-EPI gradually reduced (
P<0.001).The age, male sex, hypertension and high uric acid were the risk factors for a reduced eGFR (
P<0.001).
Conclusion The prevalence of CKD in the elderly over 60 years old is high, especially in the oldest old.The kidney disease and related risk factors should be concerned among the elderly in community.
